Classes begin on August 28th

Parents:

Sunday School classes are available for all children ages preschool through 8th Grade.  The Sunday School hour is from 9:45 – 10:45. Every week the students will start the hour in the sanctuary where we will have some music with Linda Boullion weekly announcements and more.  So please bring your children to the sanctuary at 9:45. Beginning at 10:45, you will pick up your child(ren) from their classrooms on the 2nd Floor. 

 
We at First UMC are looking forward to a wonderful Sunday School year ahead, learning more about God’s love for us, and how we can love God more and more each day. 

Sunday School Class Rooms 

There are classes for age 1 through 6th grade on Sunday mornings at 9:45 a.m.  The list below will guide you to your Child's classrooms.

Nursery

Childcare & Sunday School  

Welcome to the Nursery!  The nursery is open on Sunday mornings from 8:15-12:15. 
Childcare
During the 8:30 and 11:00 worship services, the nursery is open to children 5 and under.  The nursery workers will play and read a story or two.

Sunday School   

During the Sunday School Hour the children will be learning about Jesus through our Celebrate wonder curriculum.  There will be stories, crafts, music and other fun activities.

Cross F.I.T.

       
           Cross FIT is an afterschool program for children           in grades K - 5th. Cross F.I.T. meets on Mondays from 3:30 - 5:00 p.m.. The time together the children to activities including short lesson, some crafts, Bible Stories, songs that relate to the lessons, and so much more.  And of course, the time begins with after-school snacks! 
All children in grades K - 5 are invited to participate in Cross F.I.T, but it's not just open to First United Methodist children.  They can invite their friends and family to join in our "faith training", fund and learning! If your children are interested in participating, please contact Linda Boullion by email (lindab@norfolkumc.org) or call 402-649-5148.

Pure Joy

 This group is geared towards girls 3rd grade and up. If you are a girl who loves learning about yourself and God while doing fun crafts and activities this group is for you! We meet every week on Wednesday afternoons 5:30 - 6:30.  Our first meeting will be on Wednesday, Sept. 7, in  room 201.
